Today we were talking about some news on Tesla Pricing,

Tesla Solar, and Colorado Emissions Policies.

Tesla Stock on the day today did finish up 1.99% to $219.94 that compared to the

Nasdak up 1.67% still a tougher week for Tesla overall especially compared to the

Nasdak though Tesla ended the week down 6.4%

compared to the NASDAQ down 0.8% but to close the loop from yesterday

comparing to the other US automakers Tesla was in line Ford was down 5.2% for the week Fiat Chrysler down 5.2% for the week, Fiat Chrysler down 5.4% and GM down 6.6%.

Tesla made a couple of pricing changes today, one to the Model 3 performance version where they increased the base price by $1,000.

Remember, this comes after the Performance Model 3 saw the most significant price reduction last

month in July when they reduced the price there by 5,000. So overall the Performance Model 3 still sitting 4,000 dollars cheaper

than it was on July 15th, for example.

Small change overall, I think probably a good move.

I don't think the elasticity is such at that point where that $1,000 price decrease

is driving enough additional volume to make up for lower profitability, but only Tesla can

really answer that question. And then the other pricing changes they made today were to the

model Y,

bringing the design studio and options in line again with how the model 3 has evolved

since the model Y unveiling.

The biggest change there is the standardization of autopilot and Pearl White Paint.
