Isaiah chapter 40, verses 28 through 31.

Have you not known? Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary. His understanding is

unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might, he increases

strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their

strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk

and not faint. There are so many verses in Isaiah chapter 40 that I would love to lead us to

pray through. It is such an incredible, majestic, beautiful chapter describing the holiness of God

and the power of God and the sovereignty of God and the love of God

and the care of God for his people and the comfort he brings to his people.

And it ends with the verses I just read.

The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of

the earth, just a summary of who he is. And then we have this contrast between his power and his

strength and our weakness and our lack of strength, our lack of power, how we are

faint people who grow weary, even the youngest among us, even those who have the most

energy at some point, we fall exhausted, but not God. Never God.

He never faints. He never grows weary. And not just he is all powerful, but he gives power to the faint and he increases the

strength of him who has no might. So be encouraged today. If you feel weak in any way,

which you should because you are human. If you feel weak in any way, which you should because you are human, if you feel tired,

if you feel exhausted, look to God.
