One of the most disturbing movies I saw last year wasn't a slasher flick. It was Nightcrawler.

It's about a man named Lou, a stringer who gets graphic footage of gun crimes and traffic accidents for LA's morning

news shows. The writer-director of the movie, Dan Gilroy, started noticing the little credits for companies like Luz in the

corner of the screen when he was watching local news. A Google search or two later

and he found himself spending the night riding along with a guy with a camera.

And he revealed himself.

The guy said he was driving down to 405 at 3 o'clock the other night and a pickup truck stalled out in the fast lane.

So I pulled over with my camera and I waited

20 minutes for three cars to plow into it to sell. But I didn't cause the

accidents. I didn't do anything wrong. I mean that's what they would say. It's bullseye.

Coming up I'll talk to Dan Gilroy about journalistic ethics and what lines the media shouldn't cross.

But Dan says his movies about more than that.
