Today marks the 18th anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks. Bernard Kerik served as the New York police commissioner at the time and headed straight to the World Trade Center after learning the North Tower was hit. Kerik joins the Rundown down to share what he witnessed that day and what lessons we can still learn from those attacks. In response to the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, Canada launched Operation Yellow Ribbon as 255 flights were rerouted away from the United States. The massive undertaking was created to provide shelter to the thousands of stranded airline passengers until U.S. airspace was reopened. Now-retired American Airlines captain Beverley Bass and author Kevin Tuerff were among those who found themselves in Newfoundland, Canada, and they share their stories of the bond created with the locals.
