played for the Vikings last year, suffered a season-ending knee injury in the preseason opener against the tech

since he's died at the age of 25.

Police in New Albany, Indiana suspect that Rondale Moore died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

It has sparked a much-needed

conversation about mental health for football players and beyond. And the NFLPA hinted at,

because there were some scattered reports Saturday night that that's what had happened, but I wanted

to wait for something concrete before we addressed it.

But the statement from the NFL Players Association made it clear that there was some mental

health aspect to it by referencing the reality that players carry a lot on and off the field.

And it's important. Obviously, if you're having issues to ask someone for help,

and it's important if you're someone who's in a position, anyone in your orbit,

we've talked about this before.

I think we all have a responsibility to everyone that we encounter,

that everyone that we see on a regular basis, family, friends,

work, colleagues, acquaintances, anyone, everyone, if something seems a little bit off,

don't be afraid to just ask that. And we, you know, we talked about this recently when you say,

how are you to someone, mean it. Don't say how are you unless you mean it. And say it to the people where you truly care about the answer. And if you think that something is wrong, you're going to do something about it to help them. And I think we all have that responsibility, again, to anyone whose lives we touch. Because until you sit down and start counting up the names, you don't realize how many lives are intertwined with your own.

No, I hear that, and it's a sad story.

And I hope the public realizes a little bit like you heard Drake May after the Super Bowl, right?
