of Prince's passing and I I wonder at you know what how does that feel we're just

lifelong fans but he was your friend your boss boss, until he fired you. He was your, you know, a huge part of your life. What, what's your reflection on 10 years on from losing this great, great artist?

Well, Prince is with me every single day. There's not a day that goes by that there's not a decision that I'm making or something

musically that I'm creating or, you know, that he's not impacting my life.

And really my life as I know it now is directly attributed to him and the chance that he took on us, the opportunity that

he gave us. I think we, you know, the firing part is, you know, Terry, my partner always says

freed us, is what he did. He freed us. But he gave us the opportunity to go out and play

and to use our musical abilities to the best of our abilities

and make us better, make us better musicians, better, you know, work ethic was always the big

thing with him that I learned. So 10 years later, I just feel like I'm still living in his,

you know, mentorship, I guess if he will, in the ripple effect of him

and everybody that were able to affect in some positive way, hopefully, whether to collaborate

with them or whether to tell stories with them or whatever that is, I just feel like that's all

due to Prince. So I thank him every single day. I miss him terribly. I didn't know him at all,
