Welcome in to the Spiegel and Holmes show on a Monday, a very odd day for the score.

And I know for all of you, so many of you listeners who loved Terry Boers.

After, frankly, an odd sports Sunday without the Bears, as described there beautifully in that open by Chris Tannahill.

It has been very, it has been kind of awkward, frankly, to think about doing this radio show

while tomorrow's celebration of life looms. It is a seven-hour on-air celebration of life of Terry Boers honoring an

original from noon to seven. I am looking forward to being a part of it, along with Chris Tannahill,

and a million guests. So many people who loved Terry and knew Terry. And that has been on our minds and we've

been producing it and putting it together and preparing for that. And today we had to do a radio

show that we've chosen to try and do in normal fashion. And I want to thank Alex Coon for his typically great job.

Chris Tannahill for somehow sharing the headspace with me to be here and also preparing for that at the same time.

And the wonderful Anthony Heron for being brilliant and funny and easy and smart and humane.

So thank you, Ann.

And humble.

I'm very humble. Well, not anymore.

And handsome. Well, now we're in trouble. Now we're in trouble. But man, like, we got the news on Friday that

Terry had passed and it's just my head has been swimming. I, you know, wasn't able to post anything, didn't want to post anything Friday night,

just kind of thought about him. And then late Friday night wrote a little something that I put

on the website, thanks to Cody Westallet on Saturday morning. It's just, I firmly believe,

and I'm sure there are some people listening now who never heard Terry on the radio.

And maybe tomorrow there'll be fewer of those because people know that that's an appointment.

Maybe right now you're just in your car and like, why are these people talking about Terry?

And I just wanted to say that his comedic and sports sensibilities defined this station's voice in a way that still resonates and makes
