privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement and I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello my friends, how are you? How is your weekend? How is your week? This is Sally Clarkson

and I am absolutely delighted that you're with me. I just want all of you to know that I

so appreciate your letters, your emails, your messages. It just really encourages me to

know that some of the things I've been thinking about and praying about have encouraged you.

And so thank you so much. Thank you for everyone who has been asking about my new book, giving

your words. I kind of want to explain it just a little tiny bit to you. Clay and I have

felt that we know so many sincere and wonderful parents who desire deeply to do the right things

with their kids. But as we look back we realize that we wish we had had somebody to help

us gain kind of a vision, an overall vision for not just trying to make our children moral

or trying to force them to believe something, but we wanted to create an organic beautiful

life and we gained our vision because at a young adult age for both of us we became

believers in Christ and we learned to study who God was, what his attributes were, that

he was the Lord of our whole lives, that when he said, love the Lord your God with your

heart, soul, mind and strength, that he wanted our allegiance, our obedience, our submission

and not in a blind terrible way, but in a way of a child relating to a trustworthy father

who pressed or the father who had created them to know delight and to know fulfillment

and to know blessing. And yet of course as we all know in this fallen world there is

a constant battle for the hearts and the allegiance and the minds of our children.
