Hello, and welcome to Mind of Micah.

Today we're going to do something a little different, something we've never done on this

podcast, and it just feels like the right thing to do for me and hopefully for someone

else.

Today we're going to remember my friend, Dylan Van Damme.

Dylan passed about a month ago, and there was a memorial service for him yesterday.

As I record this on Thursday, the memorial service was Wednesday the 20th.

Dylan is, Dylan is somebody I grew up with, but if you're a follower of this podcast

from the Grandex days, you certainly know him better as our lead video guy for lack of

a better term.

He was the brains behind all of the video work that we did at Grandex, including during

sort of the heyday of the pivot video, thanks Zach, where we released a new video every

week.

And Dylan shot all the videos, edited all the videos.

He was trained at Pepperdine University as a filmmaker, and certainly overqualified to

be making videos about the internal dynamics of a frat house gone bad.

Dylan and I grew up together, and we went to elementary school together.

We went to middle school together.

I've known, or I knew Dylan for a very long time.

His mother, Dr. Travrey, is my dentist and is a wonderful dentist and a wonderful person

and a follower of everybody, and they're supportive.

My heart just is broken for her and the rest of Dylan's very large family.
