So much to talk about, so much to get excited about, so much to remember.

It's a different day today, and we had a really tough evening yesterday as Mississippi State fans around the country found out that former Mississippi State great Durranya Wilson victim of a homicide in his home

in Birmingham, Alabama. And as many of you saw the video that was released by

the Birmingham Police Department, Bayer had a Mississippi State banner out in front

of his house. And I don't know why that

helped me a little bit but it did it's one of those things that you never expect young

people to die in such a manner and sadly they do and it's difficult to make sense

of all that bear Wilson was not a highly heralded prospect coming out of when on a high school.

But Tim Brewster, who I have spoken with in the past 24 hours, who was absolutely devastated over this,

Tim Brewster stood on the table for Derunier Wilson.

I remember when State first began recruiting him, people like,

Steve, he's just a two-star.

And people forget that he was a two-star, two-sport athlete,

a former minister basketball in the state of Alabama.

But Bruce ducked to his guns, and I remember him telling me, said, Steve,

since after they signed him, said, Steve, I know he didn't have a lot of stars,

but this is going to be a five-star player at Mississippi State.

He's going to be a five-star player.

May not be a five-star prospect, but he will be a five-star player.

And I think most people would agree with that.
