Hey everyone, David Kern here. Welcome back to the show. As you probably know by now, the great writer Cormac McCarthy passed away earlier this week on Tuesday. So we're doing a couple of episodes commemorating him discussing why he matters and what he means to each of us. In part one, you probably already listened to this, but in part one,

Tim and I discussed the Mount Rushmore of Cormac McCarthy's books. Basically, we cheated a little bit

and talked about the five best books in his canon. And then we talked a little bit about what

his work means to Tim. In this episode,

you'll be able to hear a conversation between Heidi, Sean, and I as we digged into some more,

some more passages that really mean a lot to us, what he has to say for people of faith, McCarthy,

that is. And, uh, and much, much more.

So this is another, about a 45-minute conversation or so.

So between these two conversations, we wanted to cover the death and career

and life of this really important American writer,

who we all think is going to be someone that is read for a long time,

even as this work is pretty difficult.
