Last night, late show host Stephen Colbert taped an interview with Texas State Representative

James Tala Rico. He's a Democratic candidate in the Senate primary in Texas.

But Colbert says CBS's lawyers stepped in before the interview that they pre-taped could actually

air on broadcast television.

We were told in no uncertain terms by our network's lawyers who called us directly

that we could not have him on the broadcast.
