Today we're going to be talking about the normal.

Well, pop culture anyway.

And if you're like me and you're like millions of other people who maybe stayed home from school during the 70s, you know, you had a sick day, whatever, or the 80s, and you, you know, turn on the afternoon television and you'd see a standard fare prior to all these cable channels, prior to Netflix, prior to all that stuff,

you'd see a staple fair of television programs that were in syndication that would rerun

and that we would watch over and over and over.

And those programs included things like, oh, I don't know, I dream of Jeannie, Bewitched,

some of that I remember. And, of course, Gilligan's Island.

Gilligan's Island only lasted three seasons when it was in prime time, when it was a new

program in 1964 through 67. However, it left a mark on pop culture that still is felt today, and that's in

no small part, a testament to the star of the program, Bob Denver, who played Gilligan, little

buddy, you know, to the skipper. And tonight we are very, very honored, and we have a real treat

for you. We've got the

widow of Bob Denver, Dream of Denver, joining us. She's written a book. It's called Gilligan's

Dreams, the other side of the island. And we're going to talk about Bob as a person, as a father,

as a husband, as a man, as an actor, and of course as the iconic character of Gilligan, which probably is what he's best

known for. I would say that by leaps and bounds, that's what he's best known for. That character

is just an icon. So we're going to go to break quickly here so we can get Dremah on the line
