Moses. Here's Nancy DeMoss Walgamuth. The preservation of Moses' life didn't just happen. God was

superintending it, but Jocobed hid that child for three months. She found that arc. She made

sure it was watertight. She placed it in a strategic place where Pharaoh's daughter would come along. She put her daughter out there, Miriam, to guard this. It was intentionality. We're not just going to turn our children over to the enemy with the mindset. We're going to do what we can to be watchful and alert.

If you're a mother and someone asks you what you do, have you ever answered with, I'm just a mom?

I remember a time when there were a lot of people who didn't even know my name, Dana.

I was just Robbie's mom, Lexi's mom, Autumn's mom. You know what? That was okay, because I believed absolutely without any doubt that my job as a mother was the most important job I would

ever have in my life. There's no just about it. In our society, it can be easy for parents to drift, to go with the flow of

how important or unimportant it is to be a parent and to raise our children the way everybody else does.

That's why it's so important that moms and dads understand how vital their role is as parents.

I read a neat response the other day from a mom who was asked what her occupation was, and here's how she answered.

She said, I am socializing two

homo sapiens in the dominant values of the Judeo-Christian tradition so that they might be

instruments for the transformation of the social order into the teleologically prescribed

utopia inherent in the saving gospel message of Jesus Christ. What do you do?

That was her answer. Well, in Exodus 1 and 2, those two chapters we're looking at this week,

we're seeing the world-changing impact of five women, two of whom are named, three of whom are not named in that passage,
