The growth of the church, and I don't mean just the numerical growth, but the spiritual

growth, the expansion of God's kingdom, and the adding of new believers to the family of God.

This is the grief of the world. The world hates it. And Satan hates it. And he levels all his

policies and his programs and his powers against the growth of God's kingdom. There's a battle.

Who would you consider a hero?

I think since I was, well, old enough to have memories, my dad was my hero. I think since I was, well, old enough to have memories, my dad was my hero, because he's

protective and wise and good. There are different kinds of heroes. Some are in the spotlight.

Others are behind the scenes. Moses is one of the greatest heroes in the Bible, but his story

wouldn't be possible without some humble women who worked in the background. We'll explore

their roles as Nancy begins a series called Remember Miriam. I've wanted for a long time to develop

a study on the life of Miriam, an Old Testament character.

And so as I started to study this, preparing for this series, I came to the first incident

that is recorded about her life in the book of Exodus.

And you may want to be turning there as I'm setting this up to Exodus chapter 1.

And this first incident, which actually takes place in Exodus 2,

is when Marion was a young girl, and it's in the events that surrounded the birth of her little

brother, Moses. And you remember how his life was threatened as a newborn and how God

supernaturally spared him. And as I got into this study,
