All right, good evening and welcome to our midweek Bible study. We're glad that you're joining

with us tonight. We are going to be partaking of communion together tonight. Oh, you know

what I forgot to do? We've got to do it now. You got to come up, get the elements, because at

the end of the study we're going to partake together.

I knew I was forgetting something.

So those of you online, you are encouraged certainly at this time to get the elements and

have them ready so that you can partake together with us tonight at the conclusion of our study together. And on Thursday

nights we've been going through the Bible book by book and chapter by chapter and verse

by verse. And tonight we are not going to do that. We're not going to resume our verse by verse teaching, but I did want to do a topical teaching tonight actually about communion since we are going to be partaking together of communion.

So I'll give you just another moment here.

All right. So I want to talk with you tonight about the importance of partaking together of communion, especially

with everything that is happening in the world today, specifically as it relates to

the purpose of communion as an ordinance for the Christian from

the Savior until he returns.

That's what I want to talk about tonight.

And even more specifically, the much needed reminder that partaking together of the Lord's

table provides us. If you were to take and just sum it up the communion table with one word,

it would be the word remember. If you were to sum it up with two words, the two words would be remember Jesus. And I would venture to say that if

there was ever a time to remember Jesus, and I think you

would agree with me, that time is now.

I have to confess that as I see everything that is taking place, and of course I try to keep my finger on the pulse

of everything that's taking place in the world today, there are times where I just have to walk
