Today, our guest is Jamie Kent, who as a young child saw his entire world fall apart in

just a matter of minutes.

Yet as his earthly family imploded, little did he know that a heavenly father was watching

from above.

A longtime listener of compelled reached out and told me about some friends that he had with unique stories.

Well, one thing led to another, and before you knew it, I was in Tampa, Florida recording interviews.

I met Jamie at the office of No More, a growing nonprofit that Jamie and his wife started.

Their mission is to combat modern-day slavery,

poverty, parentlessness, and hopelessness by equipping the church to serve these populations.

And the reason that Jamie feels so passionately about this mission is because of what he

personally experienced as a child.

My parents divorced when I was about a year old,

and my mother remarried quickly after that,

and we moved into a small town in the Midwest in Iowa

and lived with her stepfather and his two boys.

I would tell you that those years from the ages about two and a half to three to ten seemed fairly normal for me.
