Our identity is really the subject of the age. What is our identity as a person?

In his new book, Remade, Paul Touches, senior pastor of Cornerstone Community Church

in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, gives us a wonderful look at identity in Jesus Christ. I truly believe

brother. It's marvelous to meet you over the screens and to be able to talk. It is. And we are

both P&R authors within a just a few month span. So that's pretty cool, too. P&R.

Great Publisher, Presbyterian and Reformed. I don't think either of us is Presbyterian, but hey,

great publisher, right? Yeah, I identify with the second part of their name. I identify with that as well.

So, Paul, this is the book, beautiful cover.

Again, the title is Remade and then the subtitle, Embracing Your Complete Identity in Christ.

I want to ask you this from the outset, a lot of places we could go in this conversation, I'm sure.

What prompted you to write Remade? What's the genesis of the book?

Yeah, that's a hard question to answer in some ways, because it's been kind of germinating in my mind for probably 30 years. You know, the Lord saved me 40 years ago around this time of year,

and I was blessed to be

disciples really intentionally and rooted in what it means to abide in Christ. And yet,

I would say probably over the last five, 10 years, I've been seeing more importance

from a pastoral perspective of believers understanding who we really are in Christ, which is an incredible treasure.

Absolutely it is. I think the issues of the age, so many of them anthropological, have really uncovered how central

identity questions are today.
