There's nothing quite like flying in a small twin engine plane.

The turbulence, the way the engine roars at you.

There's always a moment in liftoff when you feel like you're taking life into your own hands.

And I guess that's where the thrill is.

On one of my favorite trips with Bob, we flew out over the Valley of Fire and into California's

Death Valley. The mountain ridges and grand expanses of sand

were absolutely breathtaking.
