One of the great pastors, indeed a great man, Pastor Jack Gibbs. And the subject is so confusing to me.

Well, confusing is not the exact word.

It's almost incomprehensible that millions,

I mean, apparently many millions of evangelical Christians don't vote.

So you gave the analogy of how many might sign up to paint the fence at your church and only

a quarter of those who signed up show up.

But the ironically that that's much more or not ironically if that's much more understandable it's a

hell of a lot tougher to paint the fence than to vote so I just what what I'm sorry what no no you're right it's true it's easier to vote

you're right it's true it's easier to vote defense. Yes, I don't understand it.

So let me ask you, is there some sort of theological idea behind this that, look,

God governs the universe, my voting doesn't matter is I'm

just throwing out ideas. Yeah yeah wow you hit the nail on the head okay there are

there's a group of Christians that believe

that that God is sovereign by the way I do too. Christians do. Jews do.

God is sovereign. But there's a group of Christians who believe that God is so sovereign

that it doesn't matter what we do, he's got it all pre-programmed and we don't need to show up. When they fail to realize that from Genesis to Malachi,

and for the believer as a Christian from Matthew to Revelation,

this same God is not only sovereign overall,

but he invites us to participate.
