Hi, hi, hi. I'm so excited. So why don't you tell people who you are and how you came to write this book and such an interesting, I think, very captivating title. Thank you for rejecting me.

Can you share with us about who you are and how that title came to be?

Yeah, I would love to you. So excited to be here. Okay, so I am Kate Warman. I live in sunny Los Angeles. I am a speaker, a dating coach.

I run a podcast called The Heart of Dating. And now I'm an author, which is so cool and surreal. So this book, thank you for rejecting me.

It is just my heart and soul girl. I as a dating coach, I have the honor and privilege to walk alongside men and women from a variety of ages who are really walking through the ambiguous world of dating as a Christian.

And in that, I'm also 31 years old and I'm still single, but God has transformed my journey and really brought me through so many peaks and valleys and a lot of valleys, especially when it comes to dating and relationships and situations with men.

When I was thinking about writing a book, speaking about, thank you for rejecting me. I really, at first, I was like, it's going to be a dating book. It's just going to be about like how to date well, body, blah.

And as I pressed in and asked God, like, hey, is that what I really want to do? Is that what where you want me? Is that what you want me to write about?

And I was going to write a book on my whole idea on what I was going to write a book on and instead he put it in my heart to write about rejection.

And this had been a subject in my heart that was repeated, repeatedly on my heart because really it's my story, my story of so many different life rejections.

It may conjure up a lot of different things for the people listening. Some people may conjure up heartbreak that may be an obvious one as we talk about dating, but it can also conjure different kinds of rejections such as abandonment, maybe from a close friend or a family member, you feel rejected by them, maybe someone you trusted betrayed you and that can feel like a rejection.

Maybe you dealt with somebody who is abusive or toxic, maybe even a parent who was and that can feel like rejection.

We could also talk about friendship and how we may feel misunderstood or left out and we don't know who we belong with and that was a big part of my story growing up in middle school and high school.
