The Emerald.

All that's happening on this green jewel in space. Hey everybody. This is Josh. So I strive to get the Emerald episodes out about one per month. I think most people know that. The pace that I generally like to work at is once per lunar cycle.

And for me, that generally seems to be a pretty good pace because it means I can really dive in and focus on an episode and give it the post-production time it deserves and the musical consideration it deserves.

And the episodes as they are these days, these kind of sonic journeys require about that amount of time to really create and

realize in the way I want them realized.

This month has been a little bit weird.

First of all, the last episode that came out, the episode on grief, there were some what I

could call like personal residual shockwaves that came through that episode in which I found I needed to take

just a little bit of a breath after that episode, yeah. Because the episode went deep and it went

into territory that I know that we're all feeling and we're all familiar with. And afterwards,

I didn't feel like I could just kind of rush out and do another episode. I felt like I needed to

take a couple of weeks to let it,

really to let it reverberate and to let myself clear a little bit before diving into any other

new creative territory. And then I had an in-person immersion here in New Mexico with some people

who were taking a course with me. And in the midst of all that, my entire family

of four got COVID. So yeah, it's been a bit of an ordeal. Those who take my courses know that I like

to talk about ordeal and the ritual of ordeal and how ordeal cracks us open into new spaces. And so I

definitely feel like I'm in one of those spaces right now.
