Today as we focus on awareness and time, let's begin.

The awareness of a thought is not a thought. Because how do you know that?

You can observe a thought.

The awareness of an emotion is not an emotion.

How do you know that? You can observe it.

The awareness of the body is not the body. How do you know that? You can observe the body. The awareness of the world is not the world.

The world, thoughts, feelings, emotions, images are a changing intermittent stream of experiences, but you as timeless being.

Now here, if you want, you can use the word soul, but as soon as you would use the word soul then people will argue about what it is.

Just call it being, call it core being, fundamental reality. You as fundamental reality are not in time. All experience is in time.

Which means that you are not subject to either birth or death.

What is born and dies is an experience.

Some experience are born and die

before you can even experience them properly. A thought is born and dies in a

flash. Actually every other experience is born and dies in a flash.

Doesn't matter what the experience is.

You don't have the same body that you had last year.

But by the time you hear my words, they have died.

And now you're hearing them and as soon as you hear them they're over two.

So we're always experiencing the past. We call it the present, but actually the present is the presence of your being. The present is not a moment in time.

If I asked you, have you seen a present moment show up from the past or from the future here now and gone. No one's

had that experience. The present never ends. Therefore it must be eternal and therefore it must not be in time.

Therefore we call consciousness presence.
