Summary

In this episode, we’re talking about authenticity vs perfectionism and why so many of us feel like we need to have everything figured out before we make a move. We also get into what’s happening in education right now—especially with AI changing how kids learn—plus parenting teens and whether school systems are actually keeping up with the real world. We share stories from a recent women’s conference where the big takeaway was simple: most of us are waiting to feel “ready,” but the truth is, we never really do. We just have to start. Nothing is perfect—and growth usually begins the moment you stop waiting for it to be.

We actually. Oh, it's a Monday. Yeah. And we just got back from a conference, a woman's conference. And it's so, sometimes it's so, they were there to be like inspired to like leave things behind to like be able to jump into their next self. And they shared a lot of stories. And it's called, it was called build your brave. And it was about being brave. And a lot of stories and it's called it was called build your brave and it was about being brave and um a lot of them had some you know really heavy stories to share and

1:13.8

because everything feels like such a big thing until you're just doing it yeah but I think so many

1:20.1

people so many women are kind of like perfectionists and they like they don't want to do something

1:26.0

if it's not going to be perfect and that's what was so great about as I says we jump in do something if it's not going to be perfect. And that's what was so

1:28.8

great about disaster is we jump in. Do you think it's perfectionism or do you think it's a level

1:34.6

of cautiousness? Yes. Like the opposite of perfectionism and we hide behind perfectionism

1:40.7

because being being vulnerable and putting your thoughts out there has to be

1:46.4

so overthought. Otherwise, you feel nervous to do. It's like perfectionism is like a mask.

1:52.0

A perfection. Okay. So like that's a cute word for it. But really it's like I'm not going to

1:56.8

put something out there until I have like perfected it. Nothing's perfect ever. And yeah. And even and the thing is is that so many people will put, take so much time to quote unquote perfect or have everything organized and ready. And then you find out that you weren't like it wasn't right anyways. So you could have just thrown it out there like how we did in the car.
