Would you turn with me please to scripture that we've been looking at on Friday nights for the last few weeks in the book of Romans?

Romans the fifth chapter.

Let's read this and then we'll review a little bit, let you know what's going on.

Romans chapter 5 and verse 8 Romans 5 8. He says God commends his love

toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, much more than being now justified by his blood.

When? Don't you like that? Now the same word translated justified is sometimes translated righteous.

We've been justified, or you could say we've been made righteous or right or just, by his blood.

When are we?

Now, now, now.

We shall be saved from wrath through him.

Are you afraid of the wrath to come?

No.

Why?

We've been saved, right?

Specifically says we're saved from the wrath.

For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more

being reconciled will be saved by his life.

And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we've now,

now receive the atonement, or that word literally is reconciliation.

Do you notice how many times he says now?

Now.

He says, wherefore is by one man's sin entered into the world and death by sin,
