in Numbers chapter 35 and we're going to continue with our series on refuge.

We began two weeks ago talking about refuge.

I just want to remind you what we said.

We started and your turn in number number 35 I'm not trying to confuse

you by quoting another scripture but we started in some 46 verse one that says

God is my refuge and strength a very present help in trouble and we talked and

we talked about that God is our refuge and when he's our refuge

he's also our strength and he's a very present health.

But what that means is is that we go to God first. We don't go to God as our last resort. He's our first resort. And we don't go to money first. We don't go to food first. We don't go to alcohol or drugs, we don't go to

relationships, we don't go to trying to reason it out in our mind first, we go to God first.

And then last week we read out of numbers 35, we're going to read a portion of it again this week,

we read about the cities of refuge where God actually set aside some cities of refuge where

you could go where either you had committed a crime,

or you were being accused of committing a crime.

I want you to think about that as believers.

That's wonderful for us.

If we mess up, or if the enemy is just accusing us, we can go to God who is our refuge.

And we would go to those cities of refuge, but we talked last week about there are two rules to be able to get into those cities.

Number one, it's for the righteous. righteous and number two it's not for the

rebellious and we said well what are we going to do then we've all been

rebellious at some time how do we become righteous let me just remind you two ways

that I'm righteous number, I do the right thing.
