Well, I have a bit of a problem.

I lost my mother recently in October.

It was rather unexpected, but it happened very quickly.

I was her caregiver for 10 years, my husband and that pretty much included everything and as she got sicker

we hired agents to help us in her care but we were her primary caregivers grocery shopping

taking her to the doctor etc. cetera. I have five siblings.

When my mother passed away, I was her attorney, power of attorney, for her health.

And in that role, I was the one who, unfortunately, had to make the call to stop the life support that my older sister told them to put her on because she was at the hospital at the time and I had been at home and there had been a storm going on and the records from the hospital were not available

on the computer so they did not have the copy of the DNR. So time came and I knew what mother wanted

and I did what was required by me. It was an honor but yet it was also the hardest thing I've

ever done.

So following that very challenging time, I will say this, Dr. Laura, because you're a mother.
