Hello friends, welcome back. Another episode. Today we are going into the weeds together of

the masturbation conversation. I say the weeds because it feels like a little bit of a tricky

place sometimes because we long for rules and boundaries that make us feel safe.

And yet I feel like God has a different way for us, a way of relationship over rules.

And we're going to get into that conversation today as we reframe the masturbation conversation.

I'm going to tell you my story with masturbation and it's very raw and

vulnerable. And then I'm going to tell you where I land today and what it looks like in my marriage.

So again, this is my journey. I'm not a counselor. I am not a therapist. This is an invitation

for you to listen into my story and encounter God right where you are

and invoke the help of your community and your friends and your spouse and therapist and

counselors to help you work through your story right where you have, right where God has you

because I believe that he's at work and I'm really grateful to be on the journey with you.

asked all the time. Is masturbation okay? What does the Bible say? Should I? Shouldn't I? What are your

thoughts on it? And instead of answering 50 emails, I thought, I what are your thoughts on it and instead of answering 50 emails I thought I'm

just going to do an episode on it I'm going to tell you a little bit about my story I'm going to give you

what I understand to be a biblical framework and I'm going to tell you what works in my life

and what I've learned from my mentors. I can't tell

you what you should do because it is a very personal journey and it's a journey of maturity and
