Hello and welcome to the Thinking Fellows podcast. I'm producer Caleb and today we're doing a

Reformation special episode, which is really exciting for us. The Thinking Fellows is a show rooted in

the Reformation, our ideas, our doctrine, everything that you've heard up to this point has been

inspired by somehow by the Reformation. So today we're going to go ahead and do that. As always, I'm joined

by Dr. Rod Rosenblatt and Adam Francisco, but unfortunately, Dr. Keith is not here today. He has a

serious case of pneumonia, so please pray for him in his recovery. Taking Dr. Keith's spot, however,

is our special guest today, Dr. Steve Hein. Dr. Hine was lucky and we are lucky for him to

have been able to fly out to join us this last weekend. He's coming to one of our famous

1517 legacy thinkeries. So that's going to be a really great time. He's an author at 1517. He

wrote the book Christian Life, Cross, or Glory, but he also does a lot of

things outside of his involvement as an author and contributor to 1517 The Legacy Project.

So I'm going to let him take a minute to introduce himself, and then we're going to jump right

into our Reformation topic. Thank you much, Caleb, and it's a privilege to be with you here today,

and with such a ghost

wonderful company here to share with. I live, of course, in the Rocky Mountain High of Colorado,

a little bit north of Colorado Springs and the closest burg would be monument,

which is about 10 miles north.

And God has given me several hats that fills my life with the ministry of the word and the gospel.

I have a half-time role as a parish pastor that I share with my colleague

Robert Shibley at Shepherd at the Springs Lutheran Church on the north end of Colorado Springs.

I do some affiliate teaching with Colorado Christian University and the Institute for Lutheran Theology.

And then I have an institute for Christian studies that sponsors intensive courses and
