Today I recited Surah Abasa in the first raka, and we are all familiar with the story of Surah Abasa.

In fact, interestingly, some people find it awkward to mention this story.

And this awkwardness is problematic because Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala revealed the Surah about this story

and we should not feel awkward to mention the story and to mention the Sabab-ul-Nuzul about this Surah.

In other words, before I even begin, the sentiment of feeling awkward needs to be removed from our hearts

because when we feel awkward or some people feel awkward,

in reality this awkwardness is an awkwardness against Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

We have to be careful here, right? Some people even heard them say,

we shouldn't talk about Surah Abbasah.

As if, astaghfirullah, speaking about Surah Abbasah

is disrespectful.
