Summary
#9. Andy talks about Isbjorn's big refit and the 70-mile shakedown cruise he and Mia did up the west coast of Sweden. Special thanks to Helly Hansen for inviting us to their event; and to Isbjorn crewmember Karl for composing and performing the music motifs on this week's show.

| 0:00.0 | Mia, off the top of your head, what's your favorite part of the refit? |
| 0:03.5 | Oh, it must be the heat. |
| 0:06.8 | And of course the wheel leather that I stitched on. |
| 0:27.8 | I'm... Hey gang, Andy here. |
| 0:32.0 | If you haven't heard, we have launched our 2020 passage calendar. |
| 0:36.2 | There's going to be an entire podcast about the thinking that went behind this. |
| 0:38.1 | But until I get around to doing that, |
| 0:43.3 | know that we are not going to the Pacific in 2020, like I have teased a little bit. It doesn't mean we're never going there. It just means that we haven't gotten our fill of the Atlantic yet. |
| 0:47.7 | And Mia and I, after much soul searching, decided to do one more lap of the Atlantic. So we've sort |
| 0:53.1 | of centered the calendar for 2020 around |
| 0:55.5 | doing the Annapolis to Bermuda Ocean Race, which happens in June. And like I always wanted to do, |
| 1:01.2 | we're going to do one big ocean race a year. So that's how we've kind of built the calendar around |
| 1:06.2 | for 2020. From Bermuda, we'll shoot straight north to Lunenburg, and then we're going to retrace |
| 1:11.8 | our steps from the transatlantic that we did in Arcturus in 2011. So we'll be going from |
| 1:17.7 | Lunenburg to St. John's and across the Atlantic to Crookhaven, Ireland. And I want to |
| 1:23.8 | thank the former crew, some of you I know who will be listening to this for signing up. We've already sold five spots on the 2020 calendar. And unfortunately, the, well, fortunately for us, |
| 1:33.8 | but the transatlantic passage is already booked up from former crew that have sailed with us before. |
| 1:39.6 | So it'll be 2021 when we come back across the Atlantic. That one won't be published until next time at the next year at this time. |
| 1:47.4 | But those of you hankering for a transatlantic, don't worry, there will be more. |
| 1:51.1 | And thanks to the guys that have signed up so far. |
| 1:53.6 | But anyway, go to 59-north.com slash 2020 to see the full calendar for the year. |
| 1:59.8 | And we hope to see some of you guys out there on the high seas. |
