Aaron's here. I'm here. Maybe a guest during the show today. There's a lot to get to, including this coronavirus, which yesterday, the CDC director, Aaron, came out and said, quote,

it's not so much a question of if this will happen anymore, but rather more a question

of exactly when this will happen and how many people in this country will have severe illness.

We are asking the American public to work with us to prepare in the expectation that this

could be bad, closed quote.

That was from Dr. Nancy Messonet, Messonet, the director of Centers of Disease Control.

I have, I don't know if I've mentioned this or not on the podcast.

If I am mentioning it for a second time and being repetitive, I apologize. But next door neighbors of ours

both work for the CDC, husband and wife. They just moved up from Atlanta a year, year and a half ago.

That's where the CDC is based, but there's a CDC office up here as well. They moved up to D.C. He's an expert in malaria, spends a lot of time in Africa. And a week ago, I think it was like right around a week ago, maybe a little bit longer than that. I was out walking the dog, ran into him, and I said,

hey, what's the deal with this coronavirus? And he just looked at me and he said, have you gotten

your flu shot yet? Like, that's so much more important than the coronavirus. He's like,

influenza is going to kill a lot more people than the coronavirus. You should get your flu shot, which, by the way, I don't get a flu shot.

I've never gotten a flu shot.

Do you get a flu shot?

Not generally.

I have in the past, but not every year.

I probably should begin, you know, getting a flu shot as I am starting to reach what I would call middle-aged.

So the risks go a little bit higher.

I've never had a flu shot before.

But essentially, he was saying, don't get worked up over the coronavirus.
