Hey everyone, my name is Dan Club and we've got a special little message for you guys out there.

I am joined by the wonderful Haley Smallman of the Woodlands Hospice.

Haley, first off, you okay?

Good afternoon and thank you for having me today.

Our pleasure, absolutely our pleasure.

Fresh from the Mergerside Woman of the Year Awards night.

How did that go?

Oh, it was wonderful.

Yeah.

Runner up in Woman of Courage, very proud to say.

It was just wonderful to be in a room full of amazing women

who are really contributing to our community

and doing great things to, you know, make lives better in our

community and doing it together. We're just stronger, aren't we? So it was wonderful.

Love that. Absolutely love that. Yeah, we've got a few messages about doing things together,

but we'll speak about them in due course. For now, I want you to tell everybody about the

Woodland Hospice and sort of exactly sort of the cause and what you guys do. So, yeah, we are, I would like to say a little, well-known little secret at the back

of Aintree Hospital, that's where we live.

And we are a 15-bed hospice serving actually the whole of Merseyside at the moment

because sadly we had to, well, not us, but

Mary Ciori have had to close in the south of the city which is devastating for Liverpool.

So we are actually the only open specialist palliative care units at the moment.
