Hello and welcome again to Red Hacks, a series of conversations about journalism, and being a journalist in a neoliberal world.

My name is Joanna Ramiro, and in the next few weeks I will be chatting to a series of left-wing

reporters, photographers, writers and editors about how it feels to be a journalist in our turbulent times,

particularly if you don't subscribe to the views of Rupert Murdox the Sun,

but don't quite stand for Catherine Viner's Guardian either.

As usual, we are recording in a pub in South London,

so it should be relatively quiet, but if you hear any odd sounds,

don't worry about that. That's just us having a

jolly good time. Today's guest is a renowned photojournalist, published in newspapers and

magazines worldwide. You might have seen her work in The Guardian or the Mirror, or even

Germany's Sudo-deutsche Zeitung or the French Lops. She's also one of the founders of the I'm

a photographer, not a terrorist campaign, which has thought tooth and nail to remove photographers from Scotland Yards' domestic extremist database.
