We're going to talk about Pentecost.

We're going to talk about the New Covenant a little bit.

Can I read you a quote? It's from a church father's name Samuel Chadwick. He wrote a book called The Way of Pentecost. And here's the quote. It says, I owe everything to the gift of Pentecost. For 50 days, the facts of the gospel were complete, but no conversions were recorded.

Pentecost registered 3,000 souls. It is by fire that a holy passion is kindled in the soul whereby we live the life of God.

The soul's safety is in the heat.

Truth without enthusiasm, morality, without emotion, ritual without soul, make for a church without power.

That which happened at Pentecost is the biggest thing that ever happened and now the biggest

question of all is has it happened to you has it happened to me

may the flame of the holy ghost just be kindled afresh in our hearts tonight amen

amen well put your hand on your heart if you would.

And I want to pray, Lord, this is your bull's eye tonight. You purchased, you purchased this place

by your son's blood. And I pray that it becomes an altar for your flame, the flame of God.

That all-consuming fire, Lord, would it only increase tonight?

And Lord, we want to humbly submit our lives before your word, the authority of your word,

the power of your word. And I ask that your word would do what only it can, that it would divide soul, it would divide spirit, it would
