Tonight I talk with Kenneth Mejia, the Green Party candidate taken California by Storm.

He is a Filipino-American community organizer and could just win the election down there or over there in California District 34.

Let's go to my conversation with Kenneth Mejia.

Hey, Kenneth, thanks for joining me.

Thank you for having me, Lee.

So as you probably know, a large Harvard study found the U.S. election system to be the

worst in the Western world.

There's many things that need fixing.

You're focusing on automatic voter registration.

Why is that?

Yeah, because it should be easy to vote.

You should just show up and be basically able to exercise your right to vote.

And we shouldn't be making it harder on anybody.

And I believe it increases democracy in our country.

And then what does automatic registration mean?

Like you get your driver's license and you're registered?

Yeah, well, for us, I mean, we're pushing for automatic at 16.
