Summary

President Biden Falls at Air Force Academy + Donald Trump Reacts

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (06/01/2023):

3:05pm- Shortly after delivering the commencement address to the U.S. Air Force Academy on Thursday, President Joe Biden took a scary fall—thankfully, after being helped up by several secret service agents he appeared to be ok.

3:10pm- On Wednesday night, the House of Representatives voted in favor of a Biden-McCarthy negotiated bill that would suspend the debt ceiling limit through January of 2025—after the presidential election cycle. The bill passed 314 to 117—and, as noted by Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC), it received more support from Democrat lawmakers than Republican lawmakers. The measure will now head to the Senate. Are there any benefits to this bill for conservatives?

3:30pm- Has Hollywood turned on President Joe Biden?

3:40pm- While speaking to a crowd on Thursday, Donald Trump reacted to President Joe Biden’s Air Force Academy fall—saying he was glad Biden was ok and suggesting that sometimes you have to “tiptoe” to be extra safe.

3:55pm- In a recent editorial in The New York Post, Miranda Devine writes about House Oversight Committee witness Gal Luft who fled the country after being accused of being an arms dealer. Luft claims he is innocent and was merely targeted by the federal government for providing House Republicans with information alleging the Biden family financially benefited from selling influence internationally. Devine states: “Luft told them about [Chinese state-controlled energy company] CEFC payments to Hunter and Jim Biden, and that Biden family associate Rob Walker was involved in distributing payments, a fact later corroborated by subpoenaed bank records released by the House Oversight Committee showing Walker funneling more than $1 million from China to at least three of President Biden’s relatives.” You can read the full editorial here: https://nypost.com/2023/05/31/missing-biden-family-corruption-probe-witness-gal-luft-speaks-out-living-as-fugitive-in-undisclosed-location/

4:05pm- During an interview with Bloomberg News, JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon hinted that he may consider running president. Would he run as a Democrat or Republican? In the past he has suggested he views elements of each party favorably.

4:10pm- In a recent editorial in The New York Post, Miranda Devine writes about House Oversight Committee witness Gal Luft who fled the country after being accused of being an arms dealer.

4:20pm- The New York Post Editorial Board writes, “Rep. James Comer and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy are dead right to hold a contempt of Congress charge over FBI honcho Christopher Wray’s head. The agency is blatantly stonewalling the legislative body over a potentially explosive whistleblower allegation against the president in an FBI informant file by deciding to ‘stiff-arm Congress and hide this information from the American people,’ to use Comer’s pungent words.” You can read the full editorial here: https://nypost.com/2023/05/31/congress-must-keep-up-pressure-on-fbis-christopher-wray-until-he-stops-hiding-the-truth/

4:35pm- Matt can’t go on the Phillies-Nationals bus trip this weekend because he must write an essay for class—Rich finds this unacceptable and yells at him.

4:50pm- A website has released over 10,000 photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop. According to Brandon Drey of The Daily Wire, “thousands of photos spanning from 2008 to 2019, including images exposing Hunter’s genitals and multiple nude photos of his deceased brother Beau Biden’s wife, Hallie Biden.” You can read more here: https://www.dailywire.com/news/website-revealing-over-10000-photos-from-hunter-bidens-laptop-crashes-shortly-after-initial-launch

5:05pm- The Drive at 5: A website has released over 10,000 photos from Hunter Biden’s laptop.

5:10pm- Attorney Andrew Weissman—who often forecasts Donald Trump’s downfall—predicted that former President Trump will be indicted over a report he bragged about possessing classified information. The reported incident, which was allegedly captured on tape, involved Trump proclaiming elements of the federal government considered attacking Iran.

5:20pm- While speaking with a reporter outside of his office, Congressman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said he “wouldn’t care” if Ukraine used American-provided F16 jets to strike Russian territories. On Tuesday, drones were used to strike several buildings in Moscow—in response, Russian officials rationalized that this was proof that their real war wasn’t with Ukraine, but with the West.

5:40pm- Dr. E.J. Antoni—Economist & Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest editorial at The Daily Caller, “Debt Ceiling Deal: Slightly Good, Mostly Bad, and Definitely Ugly.” You can read the full article here: https://dailycaller.com/2023/05/30/antoni-debt-ceiling-deal-slightly-good-mostly-bad-and-definitely-ugly/

5:55pm- According to Reuters, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Senate will remain in session until they pass the Biden-McCarthy negotiated debt ceiling bill. The bill passed in the House on Wednesday night.

6:05pm- Earlier this year, President of Thomas Jefferson University Dr. Mark Tykocinski was reprimanded via email by the institution’s Chief Executive Officer Joseph Cacchione for “liked” Tweets that questioned the efficacy of gender affirming surgeries for children. Should Dr. Tykocinski have been forced to apologize? Now dozens of medical students are suggesting the apology wasn’t enough and are outrageously calling for greater accountability. Zeoli notes that it appears elements within academia now only accept conformity and group think—there is no more room for debate.

6:35pm- According to a Wall Street Journal report, “Sen. Bob Menendez hosted a 2018 meeting in his Washington, D.C., office with a New Jersey businessman who is a focus of a federal public-corruption probe of the Democratic lawmaker…The meeting, which hasn’t been previously reported, came months before the businessman, Wael Hana, secured a contract with Egyptian officials for certifying halal meat exports. The contract is a key part of the probe examining whether Menendez, who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, or his wife received gifts in exchange for political favors.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/sen-bob-menendez-met-businessman-under-scrutiny-in-federal-probe-c74ce253?mod=hp_lead_pos10

Onstage at the United States Air Force Academy where he was saying the United States will never waver on Ukraine, and he fell, and it's ugly, and it's, uh, oof, oof, it's embarrassing. Welcome to the show, glad you are here today! I don't know if he slipped on a banana, or what, 855-839-1210, on Twitter, at-rich. Zioly, uh, I tweeted it out, I tweeted out the video just a few moments ago. It's, uh, a bad look for the president. You know, there's that actor, what's his name?

1:00.0

Mike, who was out there saying, uh, that it's ridiculous that it can't be a debate between Joe Biden and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. And his point was Biden is a feeble old man. And I'll tell you what, he doesn't- I mean, Biden has fallen up the stairs of Air Force One, fallen up the stairs. It's one thing to fall downstairs, but to fall up stairs is a gravity defying feat that only the- the president of the United States has managed to pull off. I mean, really, to fall up.

1:30.0

People who typically fall down, that's usually how it works, gravity brings things down, but he fell up, up several stairs, and multiple, multiple stairs, of falling up the stairs of Air Force One. Well, this time, he walks away from the podium, oh, and the reaction from the crowd is just brutal. They start shearing, then he falls down, then it's just a loud, raucous laugh from- and you could see the cadets are trying not to smile, but they can't help themselves, because you know, they don't like the game.

2:00.0

The guy, oh, bad, at the United States Air Force Academy graduation, just really, really ugly. So that happened, and it's already got 209,000 views on Twitter. It was just posted at 250 PM, just 15 minutes ago, and it's already at 210,000 views on Twitter. That number will go up exponentially. And Fox News actually show the video, surprisingly. Now it's at 233,000 views.

2:30.0

Surprisingly, they did, they interrupted their coverage of Governor DeSantis to do this, and then they quickly went back to DeSantis. Well, I'm kidding, but there was a lot of DeSantis today on Fox News. No doubt about that. I don't know, this is a long way to go in this campaign. I don't know if I can deal with a covering presidential candidates every single day from now until they start dropping out, like flies, which they're going to do. I mean, especially as they get into the race, you think Chris Christie is really going to be able to raise the money. You think Mike Pence is really going to be able to raise the money?

2:59.9

I don't see it. So is it going to be a two-man race between DeSantis and Trump? Who knows? But remember, candidates who were the shining star and the shiny object have fallen in the past.

3:15.9

So I'm just pointing that out because as the field grows with Pence and Christie, it only helps Trump. As more candidates get in that dilute and anti-Trump vote, it matters.

3:28.9

Now, the feds are already talking about indicting him over this leaked audio of him discussing classified documents.

3:35.9

And there's no doubt they want to indict him. I mean, they're dying to. They're chopping up a bit, of course, but this hurts January six. They want to indict him. There's no question about that. Maybe both.

3:45.9

I mean, and then Georgia can get it on the mix too. They want to keep coming after him, but they're also increasingly realizing the obvious, which is that he is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

3:56.9

And there's a very good chance he will be the Republican nominee. And then you got this fee-beloved codger who just fell down at the Air Force Academy graduation.

4:04.9

When I tell you, I would not be surprised if somebody else enters this race who is a Democrat, this is what I'm talking about. This is exactly what I mean.

4:14.9

Now, switching gears for a moment to the bill, to the bill it's about to become law. And that is the terrible financial irresponsibility act that passed the House and it's going to pass the Senate most likely.

4:27.9

Although there's some movements to make a couple of amendments to it. Actually Democrats want. And Chuck Schumer has already said we can't risk it because we can't afford to send it back to the House.

4:38.9

There's no time. There's no time. And we'll die if the House tries to amend it. America can't afford a delay. Of course, that's BS. And you know that. And I know that there's plenty of time.

4:51.9

Plenty of time. We're not going to default in our debt today. We're not going to default in our debt tomorrow. We are never defaulting on our debt period.

4:59.9

The raising the debt ceiling is about money that has not been spent yet. It is not about. It's asking for a credit limit increase because you want to buy new things. It's not to cover the stuff you've already bought.

5:12.9

All right. That's not why you increase your credit. Increase your credit line as you want to buy another hot tub or something like that, which if you do, by the way, make sure you buy it from spring dance hot tubs.

5:21.9

But this entire thing as Senator Mike Lee call that is a is a pill. It's a it's a pill that is that fails to tackle the root causes of our fiscal woes.

5:34.9

Rand Paul said there's nothing conservative about the Biden McCarthy debt limit deal. Nothing. Nothing.

5:41.9

And Nancy Mace said what I said yesterday on the show, which is the fact that more Democrats, then Republicans are voting for the debt limit bill says a lot about the legislation. It sure does. It really does.
