in this episode, I'll be discussing the No Kings protests that are scheduled for this Saturday,

then you're in the right place. Today we will be discussing the protests and also the probability

of whether the administration is going to use them as a justification to invoke the insurrection

act.

And this isn't doom scrolling, y'all.

This is just pattern recognition based on historical precedent, as well as what this

administration has already done inside.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you're probably aware that we have a huge amount of protests scheduled for this Saturday, October 18th.

There are more than 2,500 events planned across all 50 states, including Washington, D.C., as well as at least 15 countries all over the world.

But domestically, that's 450 more protests and events than were planned in June with the first No Kings protest.

No Kings is led by Indivisible, a progressive grassroots organization, along with the ACLU, League of Women Voters, and other environmental and civil rights mainstream groups.

And what's going to be so fascinating is that the June No King's protest drew an

estimated 5 million people at over 2,000 rallies. Supposedly, based on numbers and people talking about it,

this is going to eclipse that at almost double, double the size. And these protests, you might be

asking, well, why are people out there protesting? Well, one, duh, but secondly, authoritarian overreach, mass deportations, government shutdown, threats to the democratic processes, everything that we've kind of, you know, been witnessing in the last several months, they are planned as peaceful, nonviolent demonstrations and exercising of our constitutional rights.
