Hello everybody and welcome back to RevLeft Radio.

On today's episode we have back on the show a fan favorite one of my personal favorite

guests, Dr. Kristen Godsee, author of Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism and previous

guests I think on five other episodes of RevLeft if not maybe four.

She's back on this time to talk about her newest book highlighting five communist, socialist,

feminist women throughout history specifically in Russia, you know, Eastern Europe, the Soviet

block her areas of expertise and we talk about that.

And these these figures are maybe known about like certainly like the the Sniperist you

know the Soviet sniper who killed 309 Nazis is known Alexander Kalentay we did a full

episode on which I'll link to in the show notes.

But others are less known and so we get to kind of learn more about figures we might be

somewhat aware of and learn about figures that I think most people on the left probably

haven't heard of at all.

And Kristen is always just an amazing guest.

You can tell that the stuff that she writes about in studies means a lot to her personally

and she infuses her work and her interviews with me and everything she does with a genuine

sense of passion and commitment and it really is a beautiful thing to see.
