I don't think this is a, this is about an unwillingness to include guys or anything like that.

You know, teams have to like our players in order for that to happen.

And, you know, we went into this deadline feeling like, you know,

in order to accomplish what we needed to accomplish, what we hoped to accomplish,

we couldn't take some of our young minor league players off the table.

We couldn't go into this with untouchables, and we didn't.

You know, we were willing to talk about all of our guys in the name of improving the team.

It just didn't work out.

They've been touting their system. They've been building their system. They've been getting recognition. Some, you know, neutral outfits have them as the number one system in major league baseball. And so they have a top rank system. They've told us about their top rank symptom. They've puffed out their chest about their top rank system. And then when they don't do anything at the trade deadline, they say, well, no one like the players in our system, which is an odd catch, is an odd excuse for them doing nothing. But that's what that comment was about. I come to you from the remote A-Hull chair location, Maz and Murray in our town fair tire studios in Waltham. Maz, what did you want to hit on as it relates to Theo Epstein here? Okay, so I actually have two things for you. I'm going to give you Theo second. Okay, but let me just do this quickly because I had Jimmy check a piece of sound earlier that we played that I found curious.

And the more I think about it, the more curious it is. We have spent a lot of this day wondering whether Craig Breslow was up to the task at this trading deadline.

And we have a comment from Bob Nightingale, for example, saying that teams found the Red Sox hard to deal with,

found Breslo in particular difficult to deal with and communicate with.

So Mark Dundera, our own Mark Dundero asked a question last night to Breslo on the press,

or during the press conference that was uh you know broadcast on the internet the

at the end of the answer bruselow said this a team has to say yes to our offer uh or or give us

um you know some type of of counter that we can we can work with in order to to execute a trade

okay team has to give us some sort of counter.

So they didn't give you counters?
