| 0:16.0 | I think we'll see a lot more activity, but Judge to me, what he just had is he just played the most lucrative season in the history of baseball, a season worth $146 million. |
| 0:26.0 | That's a difference between what was offered, what, eight months ago and what he signed for now. |
| 0:31.2 | So I believe it's a situation where the Yankees did not want to go this far in terms of years and dollars. |
| 0:37.3 | That's clear from the first offer they made, but had to because the other option was much worse, which was a world without Aaron Judge, in a market without any other option. |
| 0:47.8 | Brian Cashman said it himself the other day. |
| 0:49.9 | We don't know where we might be going. |

| 1:07.3 | Walt Fim, we're brought you by the Drafking Sportsbook on 985, the Sports Hub. And the Simulcasset beams across New England and the country on NBC Sports. Boston, we're starting with some baseball, Aaron Judge, to the Yankees. But I don't know if that's the lead here in Boston. The Red Sox got themselves a closer. Are they getting closer to Xander Bogart? There's reports on that this afternoon. So we got some baseball to talk about folks who don't often hit it in the 2 o'clock hour. But if you want to join us and talk some Red Sox, this is your chance to do it. 617779-0985. That was the MLB network. You heard there off the top. What are your thoughts at this hour, Anthony? Okay. So as it pertains to Kenley Jansen, who the closer with originally the Dodgers and then the Braves, the Red Sox signed him to a two-year contract, $32 million, $16 million per year. It's not a horrible deal. It's a short deal. And when I say not horrible, the contract is fine. 16 million, a lot of people say, well, that's a little high, but closer is now, Edwin Diaz for the Mets just got 20. The cost of relief pitching in general has gone up. Two-year deal, not huge risk. Fine. No problem. Now, I am putting aside a personal bias here. I don't love the pitcher. Why? Okay. I don't love the pitcher. But why are we |
| 2:18.7 | putting aside of personal bias? Well, because, look, because let's release. You just wanted them to do something? Let's release the personal bias. But because everybody's pissed at them for not doing anything. They finally do something and say, they don't go, well, that guy sucks. I don't think he, I don't think he sucks. |
| 2:33.5 | I think he's okay. |
| 2:35.2 | So if you're asking me, |
| 2:36.8 | would I rather have Edwin Diaz or go, well, that guy sucks. I don't think he sucks. I think he's okay. |
| 2:35.1 | So if you're asking me, would I rather have Edwin Diaz or Kenley Chance? |
| 2:38.9 | I'd rather have Edwin Diaz. |
| 2:40.1 | But he costs five years and $100 million. |
