And I've got my friend Jake Devereaux from Over the Monster here. Jake was first on the podcast when we were doing the Roadowire dynasty mock draft over the off season.

And I believe at that time, Jake was out in front on Garrett Whitlock being a starter.

Before those were kind of trendy calls to make.

And I thought Jake would be a great guy to have on today to talk about

Nick York and other stuff, but it also just happens to be Brian Beaux's MLB debut tonight.

So we'll be able to talk about that a little bit too.

But first, Jake, how are you doing?

I'm doing great, James.

Thanks for having me back to the show again.

And I'm super psyched as everybody is in red

yeah of course and uh we'll be getting to bea we'll be getting to you know casas and york

marcella mayor um but uh i just kind of want to start with sort of an overview of you know, Casas and York, Marcelo Mayer.

But I just kind of want to start with sort of an overview of the Red Sox, this new-ish regime headed by Heim Bloom.

What's kind of been your sort of impression since they took over in terms of just acquiring talent, developing talent,

sort of where the direction of the team is sort of headed?

Well, I think that Heim Bloom really values depth, and I think that's part of what he learned,

you know, coming up in the race organization.

And we've seen that definitely throughout his tenure here with the Red Sox. And it's been a sort of a weird tenure because he came in at the end of 2019 and then COVID hit.

So he hasn't really had as many opportunities as we thought that he probably would to add to the depth of the system.

But nonetheless, I mean, he's done a tremendous job with that.
