Sam, you mentioned that you all reached an inflection point,

and I'm curious, from your perspective, why didn't this situation with Rafi work out in just the second year of a $300 million-plus dollar, $300 million deal?

Yeah, thanks for that, Julian.

You know, in the end, I think it's pretty clear that we, we couldn't find

alignment with Rafi is the truth. We, we all worked at it over the last several months,

going back to the offseason, starting with Alex Cora and Craig and the staff, and then up to me and all the way up to John Henry.

We worked at it. We had a different vision for him going forward than he had, and we couldn't get there. We couldn't find alignment and we reached that inflection point and made the decision

to make a big move.

Sam Kennedy, with some of the buzzwords that were repeated often last night, alignment was a big one. Your thoughts on that press conference last night, Maz Murray? Good, Murray. You go first. Just wormy PR spin. I mean, one of the things, just from an aesthetic standpoint, I don't know if this bothered other people. I know it bug me. I know you're not face-to-face, but you're on a Zoom.

So can you pretend your face-to-face and look at the camera, Sam Kennedy?

Like, to me, that's a tell that you're not being genuine if you can't make eye contact. He never once looked at the effing camera. So that, to me, was a turnoff. Look, I went into it my own personal bias anyway, waiting to get mad and being pissed at these two because I just don't like them in the way that they run that operation.

So they didn't help their cause. Like it just all felt like boilerplate nonsense that they were reading. There are so many little phrases that went up my ass from this thing that drove me crazy. So look, I wrote them down. I sent them in an email. So just give me two seconds. Yeah, do it. Okay? First of all, bold and decisive. How many times did they use that phrase that we're bold and decisive? So what? You want to tell us you have balls? Because that's what that is. We have balls. You know, we'll make a hard trade. We're bold and decisive. It sounds like you're selling salsa. Okay. It's just like PR me. This salsa is bold and decisive. So, so like, don't tell me about how ballsy you are. I don't care. Okay. And again, that goes all the way back to like, Theo was bold when he traded no marx because he was 28 and didn't have a clue. I just don't know how ditching money is that ballsy and decisive. It's not. So again, like it just comes off as we're going to get

and at one point Sam even used the phrase being bold and decisive has been the hallmark of this
