Last year was, it really was a disgrace.

I mean, yes, we did have injuries, but it was awful to live through a season where we, we just were, seemingly we're out of every game by the top of the second inning.

And so to be more consistent, be healthy, and to play at a level where the Boston Red Sox belong has to be the

goal.

The risk is sounding like Mike Francesa.

I've been doing this 25 years.

25 years.

I've never seen a Red Sox opening day, but there's literally anticipation as this one. I've never seen one like it. Maybe in my lifetime. And again, I've been covering baseball now in Boston, if you count this program, for a little more than 25 years, actually, and not to give you my resume, but I just, to put some perspective to it. I think it's really important to recognize that.

After the 2018 season, the Red Sox came out, they got off to a horrible start in 2019.

They were dead in the second half.

Last year, COVID hit and they were non-existent.
