I wanted to continue that discussion now.

Red Sox had last night off.

They play the struggling Yankees at Fenway Park tonight.

Yankees have lost 20 of their last 29 games and are really having problems, scoring runs, the pitching, which was pretty good for them, has not been good over the last two or three weeks.

But the deadline, the trade deadline is four days from now.

The heat is on for Craig Breslo to actually do something to improve a young team that has wildly overachieved.

Breslo said this week he's going to look for help and reports within the last 24 hours

have him reaching out to the Dodgers about lefty James Paxton, who was just designated for

assignment, and also reaching out to his old team, the Cubs, about pitcher Jamison Tyon,

who has an ERA of under four for Chicago.

But then there's Sam Kennedy yesterday. He gave

an interview to Mass Live and he said, quote, we're obviously looking to try and prove where we can.

You never want to publicly make bold proclamations or assurances because I just don't know how

this market's going to develop, but we stand behind Bres and his

comments. I'm really not sure how to take that at all.

Scoolded them. That's a public scolding. Come on. Come on, rookie. Don't do that. Don't say you're

going to do something. I need you to keep being vague about your plans. Don't tell people we're going to make a move because then we don't make a move. It's more bad PR for us. But it's just it. But now, I'm with Brazil on this one. Of course, you want to help out a team that's playing it, playing its heart out. But at the same time, this shows you the dynamic of the front office. I mean, it shows you that it wasn't Hyam Bloom's fault. Now, Bloom was not a good man for trades. He was not a good guy. Not a good trader. But at the same time, he wanted to do things and ownership didn't. You see that same dynamic right now. Let me tell you, give you another dynamic of the front office that's a little strange.
