And joining me today is investigative journalist, documentary filmmaker, humanitarian, and all-round great guy, Jonathan Otto.

And Jonathan, I can hear from your accent.

Sounds like you're Australian.

Yes, that's right.

That's pretty awesome.

I've always had a fascination with Australia, my friend.

Oh, that's awesome, man.

Yes.

Well, we are strange and interesting people.

Certainly, certainly.

And obviously, Australia and America have sort of a similar pedigree in common, breaking

off from the British Empire and going off into the hinterland,

so to speak.

But what's always most fascinated me about Australia is the sort of like pioneering spirit

that really kind of ties in with the people of America.

I have a lot of friends from Australia from doing the shows over the years.

And when they come into the chat, you know, I mean, we're always talking about the issues

that Australians are facing and how it kind of mirrors what we're seeing here in America,

but how it's even more draconian, it seems, right now, which really breaks my heart.

But Australia is so big and the animal life is so rich and diverse and the the thousands of years

...
