If you're new to our show, you might find this a little different than other podcasts. We tell stories where you are the hero. You will

explore strange new worlds, some familiar, others totally exotic. Making you the main character is designed to create an immersive experience.

We're trying to stimulate your imagination and surround you with the worlds you explore.

Before we launch into our main feature, try out this short sample story to get you warmed up. This is called Beyond the Indus, and was inspired by a

suggestion by one of our patrons, Julia Choff, enjoy. You scratch your elbow. It doesn't hurt. It doesn't even itch. It's numb.

You keep rubbing and scratching the red ulcer, hoping to bring your elbow back to life.

The other soldiers around you are scratching their ulcers.

You feel fortunate yours is on your elbow.

Some have lost fingers, arms, or legs. Many have died.

And yet, Alexander pushes you on. He and his officers won't even come close to the regular

troops. At least those officers that haven't caught the plague themselves. Instead, they heard you from a distance

like sick animals, driving you on into the unknown.
