Podcast, it's a special version of the

peristyle podcast, we call it the recruiting blast we have Gerard Martinez

USC football dot com national recruiting analyst joining us on the line. What's up

Derrard? How you doing? I'm doing pretty good. It's the holiday season and

this is the time that recruiting starts to heat up.

Interesting time for USC because they basically have a full class

and this is something unique.

So we're kind of seeing how they're going to approach this and I guess more importantly how the commits themselves

are going to approach this home stretch signing day.

Certainly we have a lot of topics to get to. There's been some questions over the past few weeks.

We haven't done a recruiting podcast in about a month or so

so apologize for that but we'll jump on here and try to get to some of the questions that were

sent in but before we do just kind of give an overall we're going to talk with Gerard a few of the major topics here.

And I think first Gerard, to me when you talked about Lane Kiffin's plan coming through trying to get through these sanctions. We both thought

it was brilliant. No one had done it before. There wasn't a blueprint to go off of and the way

he stalked up with the 30 guys in the one year and then you

came back with a little under 15 the next year plus the early enrollees
