offensive lineman Amir Herring out of West Bloomfield High School in Michigan.

Herring the local kid that's always been a Michigan lean. His recruitment was a little

interesting. Michigan again had that

kind of early lead with him. They extended an early offer. And then he wasn't really trying to

commit early. You know, Harry wanted to enjoy the process a little bit, make some other visits.

During that time, which came in the winter slash spring,

Sharon Moore decided to look at some other interior offensive line targets. Things kind of

cooled off between both parties. In the early part of the summer, it was actually Nebraska

that started to gain some real momentum with herring.

But Michigan decided to make a push, brought him in for an official visit,

and he ended up giving a silent commit there, and then gave a public commitment on July 7th,

which was yesterday at the ceremony that Clayton Safie and I were at.

So that's kind of just a rundown of how his recruitment worked out.

But I think it worked for both parties at the end of the day.

Herring's a Michigan type of kid that's always wanted to play at Michigan.

And I think Michigan needed herring.

I think the debate, which I'm sure we'll get to here in a little bit about whether he should have been a take or not to begin with, shouldn't have even happened.

I mean, I think he's a four-star prospect for a reason.

I've seen him live on multiple occasions, including multiple games.
