Summary

Often it’s difficult to discern through all the still functioning periphery that our center has been lost. However when our center, Jesus, has been lost we’ve been completely immobilized and unable to accomplish what we’re actually designed to do. We’re releasing grace now to become so centered on Jesus that we’re able to effectively preach the finished work of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

0:00.0	Thank you for listening to this message from Damon Thompson Ministries. I'm going to review a little bit. We've been in, and I think the way I'm going to do this tonight is just kind of come at it from the other end of things. You're not going to hear
0:24.7	from me for a couple of weeks, so I'm going to give you both barrels tonight, is that all right?
0:29.0	So Luke 14, we've been going through this narrative of a king that had a son that he prepared a feast for.
0:36.0	Now the initiation of that statement is a woman making the declaration,
0:41.0	one day there'll be a great kingdom feast. The passion translates it
0:44.4	it translates it someday they'll be a great kingdom feast and how happy will be
0:48.8	all those that get invited to the feast. Jesus takes that someday mentality and he makes a shift there to say
0:57.2	a king made a great feast for his son that's clarified in Matthew 22 or a man
1:01.7	made a great feast for his son and he said to his servants
1:06.0	go out and invite all the guests and tell them come for all things are now ready. So Jesus is intentionally shifting people
1:16.9	from a someday consciousness to a now consciousness. Things are ready now.
1:23.0	And so I want to talk a little bit tonight in opening about the nowness of the kingdom of God.
1:30.0	The nowness of the kingdom of God.
1:32.0	There's a phrase that we use in theology
1:34.8	that's actually a beautiful phrase. I've tried to tweak it over the years to try to
1:39.6	help people understand, but it's just one of those things you have to understand by the spirit.
1:43.7	The phrase is this, already, not yet.
1:47.4	So in every aspect of kingdom life, there's an already, and there's a not yet. Already and not yet
1:56.3	marries itself to seed time and harvest. So we understand that, you know, first you
2:02.4	have the blade and then you have the well first you have the seed then you have the blade then you have the full corn on the on the cob and so when you're looking at how the kingdom operates, you have to understand where we are
2:16.8	is exactly where we're supposed to be and not yet where we're going to be. I say it like this, we are not at the final destination
